The living area feels lived-in but clean, with enough seating for your whole group to actually hang out together instead of cramming into a tiny hotel room. What struck me most was how the space flows naturally — you’re not bumping into furniture or fighting for bathroom time when you’ve got four or five people staying here.

Location & Neighborhood

South Wabash puts you in a spot that locals actually know, which I appreciated. You’re about twenty minutes from downtown by car, but honestly, that distance works in your favor — parking here is actually manageable, unlike trying to find a spot near the Loop. The neighborhood has that real Chicago feel, with corner stores and local spots that aren’t trying to separate tourists from their money. I grabbed coffee at a place two blocks over that clearly serves the same regulars every morning.

What Makes It Work

The whole setup really shines when you’re traveling with a group or staying for more than just a night or two. Having space to spread out, cook a meal, or just sit around talking without hotel staff hovering — it changes the whole dynamic of your trip. The couples who stay here seem to get it too; there’s something nice about having your own space to retreat to after a day of exploring the city. Plus, when you’re splitting the cost among several people, the value becomes pretty obvious compared to booking multiple hotel rooms downtown.

  It is comfortable, spacious and vibrant. We also like the place because there is a game area as well as the massage chair! 🙂 Host can contact easily and he comes right away if we need something. This place also eqquiped with bbq griller, that is why we enjoyed our bbq night:) Great place to stay and I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here with my family! We would love to go back and stay here on our next vacation.

  This home is AWESOME, homely interior decorations, great flat-screen TVs in all rooms! A jewel in the midst of central Chicago. Great location; the ambience and neighborhood were quiet and very reserved. The home was neat and well taken care of. I particularly loved the rooms and the bed decorations.
  
  The staff were very courteous and responsive, they were easily reachable and offered help and information as often as we needed it. A few window blinds were broken on the back door patio area (it was being fixed as we were leaving), but really, that took nothing away from what this home was for me and my family and friends, and we sure will be back again.
