Millennium Park is a pleasant stroll, and you’ve got that gorgeous Riverwalk right at your doorstep.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in faced the river, and honestly, waking up to that view never got old during my three-night stay. The beds really do live up to the hype — I’m usually a light sleeper, but something about the mattress quality and the way they’ve soundproofed these rooms just works. The bathrooms are well-appointed without being flashy, and there’s actually enough counter space for two people to get ready without bumping into each other. Small thing, but the blackout curtains are properly installed, which you’d be surprised how many hotels mess up.

Dining and Practical Stuff

The breakfast setup is more flexible than I expected — they’ve got the full American buffet if you want to linger, but the grab-and-go option actually has decent quality items, not just sad pastries. The restaurant on-site serves solid food, though honestly, with Chicago’s incredible dining scene right outside, I’d probably venture out for dinner. Parking is available, which in downtown Chicago is basically a small miracle, though it’ll cost you — but that’s just the reality of staying in the Loop.
