L7 Chicago by LOTTE Overview
First Impressions
Walking into L7 Chicago by LOTTE on North Wabash, you immediately get that this four-star hotel knows what it’s doing. The lobby has this sleek, modern Korean aesthetic that feels fresh in Chicago’s Loop — honestly, it’s a nice break from the typical business hotel vibe you get around here. The staff actually seems genuinely happy to see you, which isn’t always a given in downtown hotels. The attention to detail is evident from the moment you arrive, setting the tone for your entire stay.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about this spot? You’re literally in the heart of everything without feeling like you’re trapped in tourist central. The Chicago River is just a couple blocks away, and you can walk to Millennium Park in about ten minutes. Couples are rating the location 9.8 out of 10, and honestly, you’ve got the Riverwalk right there, plus all those great restaurants along Wabash. The L trains are super accessible too, so getting around the city is actually pretty painless. The neighborhood offers an incredible mix of cultural attractions, shopping, and entertainment venues.
The Room Experience
Here’s where this place really shines — the beds are seriously comfortable, like sink-into-them-and-forget-your-troubles comfortable. The room design has this clean, minimalist thing going on that feels very Korean hospitality meets Chicago practicality. The windows are floor-to-ceiling in most rooms, so you get these amazing views of the Loop’s architecture. There’s plenty of space to spread out your stuff, which is more than I can say for a lot of downtown hotels in this price range. Each room is thoughtfully appointed with modern amenities and functional layouts.
Dining & Amenities
The American breakfast they serve is solid — nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done with good coffee and fresh options. What I really appreciate is that they don’t try to overcomplicate things. The restaurant has this relaxed atmosphere where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over music. The fitness center is well-equipped if you’re into that sort of thing, and there’s business facilities that actually work properly. The hotel also offers convenient parking options for guests with vehicles.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the flashiest hotel in Chicago, but it does everything really well without any of the pretentious nonsense. The Korean hospitality standards really show — everything runs smoothly, the service is attentive but not hovering, and the whole place just feels well-managed. For the location and quality, the value is honestly pretty impressive. You’re getting that boutique hotel experience in one of the best spots in the Loop, and you’ll sleep better than you have in months. Plus, when you step outside, you’re right in the middle of one of America’s great downtown areas — architecture tours, river cruises, and some of the city’s best dining are all within walking distance. This hotel represents an excellent choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Chicago before marathon weekend fills riverfront paths with cheering crowds.

I like this hotel. Nice room, good bed. You can drink coffee and tea 24/7. Beautiful and new design. Some things like facials masks, yoga rug, socks are very lovely for guests. Location is great. View on river is the best, you can see ships and tramp tower.

The window hutch was so cool to lay and watch the city!

Great location and friendly staff. All major attractions are within walking distance. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There's a free coffee machine near the reception and they even provided a small breakfast for people running the marathon.

Excellent central location with good access to transport. It was easy to get around in any direction. Fantastic room with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. It was useful having a table and chair and the window seat was fun. It was also great to have a coffee machine as an extra perk. Nice smelling toiletries provided which were in refillable containers so keeping possible plastic waste reduced.

Very big room & great location. Stayed for the Chicago Marathon and they put on an early breakfast for the runners starting at 4:30am which was very considerate.

loved the window seat! Very comfy beds and loved having the coffee machine as well as the coffee/snack/filtered water station downstairs.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant downstairs was excellent- we went for breakfast but would go back in the future for dinner.
Location was perfect for exploring downtown and walking along the river.
