The Magnificent Mile is a quick walk south, but you’re also close enough to the Loop that you can easily catch a show or grab dinner in the theater district. What I really appreciate is how you can walk to Navy Pier without dealing with tourist bus traffic — it’s that sweet spot where you’re in the action but not overwhelmed by it.

The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Chicago River perfectly — honestly, the view alone justifies the rate during sunset hours. The beds use Blissful linens (The Langham’s signature collection), and I’ll admit they’re as comfortable as advertised. What struck me most was the attention to small details: the bathroom marble is heated, there’s a proper work desk with multiple outlets, and the minibar actually has local Chicago craft beer options alongside the usual luxury brands.

Travelle, the hotel’s signature restaurant, serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a Chicago twist — their rooftop terrace becomes pretty magical during warmer months when you can dine outdoors overlooking the river. The spa downstairs feels like a proper retreat from the city buzz, though I’d recommend booking treatments in advance since it’s popular with both guests and locals. There’s also a fitness center that’s well-equipped if you want to maintain your routine, and valet parking is available (though honestly, you might not need a car given the location).

  The room was perfect with an incredible view. I used the suite to get ready for my wedding and the staff brought chairs or makeup, tables for food, a microwave/fridge. They were very accommodating for us!
