The Magnificent Mile is close enough to walk to (about 10 minutes), but you’re far enough away that you don’t deal with all the crowds and noise. Couples seem to absolutely love this spot — I can see why, since Lake Michigan is right there and the whole area has this romantic, waterfront feel to it.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows with lake views, which honestly never gets old. The design is typical W — bold colors, modern furniture, and that signature bed that’s somehow both firm and comfortable. You know what I really appreciated? The blackout curtains actually work, which is rare in hotels with big windows. The bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower, and they stock decent toiletries — better than most chain hotels. The overall comfort level makes it an excellent choice for extended stays.

Dining & Social Spaces

The restaurant downstairs serves solid American fare with a modern twist. I had dinner there one night — the food was good, though not groundbreaking. What I really liked was the bar area, which gets lively in the evenings but doesn’t feel like a scene.   Loved everything about this hotel, lakefront so you have direct of the river walk and navy pier from every floor. Central location and walkable to everywhere.
