Here’s what I love about staying in Streeterville — you can walk to Navy Pier in about ten minutes, Michigan Avenue’s shopping is right there, and you’re close enough to the Loop that getting downtown for meetings or dinner is no hassle at all. The hotel sits on North Park Drive, which means you’re tucked away from the main street noise but still connected to everything. I mean, couples apparently rate this location a 9.6, and after staying here, I totally get why. You know what’s really nice? Having that parking available right at the hotel, because let’s be honest, finding a decent spot in this part of Chicago can be a nightmare.

The Room Experience

The room itself exceeded my expectations — and I’ll tell you why that matters. The beds here are genuinely comfortable (apparently they’re highly rated for this, and I can confirm it’s true), which is something you don’t always get even at nice hotels. The windows offer solid city views, and the overall design feels modern without being cold. There’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in, plus the bathroom setup works well if you’re sharing the space with someone else.

Breakfast and Dining

The breakfast situation is pretty straightforward — they do American-style options and have a grab-and-go setup if you’re rushing to meetings or want to eat while exploring the city. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done well. What I found useful was being able to grab something quick and head out to walk along the lakefront, which is literally right there. The restaurant scene in the immediate area is solid too — you’ve got everything from casual spots to places where you’ll want to make reservations.

The location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing fluff — you really can walk to most of what you came to Chicago to see. The staff knows what they’re doing, the rooms are comfortable, and you’re staying in a neighborhood that feels both safe and interesting. It’s the kind of place where business travelers feel at home, but couples on weekend getaways aren’t out of place either. Sometimes that balance is exactly what you need.

  We were really pleased with our choice of the Loews for our trip to Chicago. It is in a perfect location, close to Michigan Avenue and the river but we enjoyed Streeterville itself too- Roberts Pizza, Lao Sze Chuan, and the Shoreline boat tour- and we had a great view of the lake and Navy Pier. The hotel is understated but very very comfortable, with an incredibly comfortable large bed, a desk that two can use, an huge elegant bathroom with great hot water pressure, and total blackout blinds so we slept to 8am every morning. It is probably the most comfortable room we have had on our month-long overseas trip. The lobby is cozy, hip and functional like lots of private living rooms. We had brekkie at ETA every morning and the food was great, esp the remarkable lobster eggs Benedict. The pool was just ok and full of kids, but what can you do and at least they had a pool but no jacuzzi. My family enjoyed their Streeterville Social club bar for nibbles and drinks in the sun in the arvo.

  We had a few minor issues. The Tv needed reset, which was handked immediately, We only had 1 robe and they brought us 2 and slippers immediately.They comped us breakfast credit at ETA which was above and beyond. The lobby is inviting staff is prompt and attentive..Manger personally made sure minor issues were addressed.Extcellent location.The hotel was hosting a wedding and made sure the rest of their guest were well taken cafe the entire time. It is worth the money for the stay,, staff, management and location cant be beat.
